Who We Are
About Time To Help.
Time To Help will begin serving Albertans with financial aid locally by providing the opportunity for a monthly business grant which will be awarded to the most eligible recipient who applies for or who is referred to our Time To Help platform. We will be building an “individual” grant recipient section of our platform as well which will allow individuals to also be eligible for a grant who have suffered great misfortune from either the pandemic itself, or other severe circumstances such as domestic abuse or childhood abuse, or abuse of any nature, recovering and rehabilitating from all types of addictions or severe health adversities or illnesses.
Time To Help is a Canadian charity that provides small financial grants to business owners facing great adversity.
We simply are here to help people right now who need it the most, and collectively will attract more individual and corporate partners who will join our cause to increase the reach of our platform to not just include all of Alberta, but Canada as a nation. That is who we are at Time To Help, if you or anyone you know fits these criteria as a potential grant recipient, please feel free to complete our eligibility form online or send us an e-mail.
How We Started.
My name is Jevon Almond and I started Time To Help in 2021 as a way to give back to the community that has given me so much. As a young entrepreneur born and raised in Alberta, I’ve been able to take advantage of the opportunities our great province provides us, and at the age of 25, I started my first company Time To Shine. I continued to build that company into an award-winning commercial cleaning provider gaining reputability throughout the city of Calgary as we work towards our 12 years of serving Calgary business owners. Customer service and community involvement has always been an important part of our company mission. While growing that business I put an emphasis on progressive philanthropy by sharing each piece of our success we achieved with Non-profits such as the Kids Cancer Society, Women’s Centre of Calgary, Calgary Humane Society, Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter, Ronald Mcdonald House Calgary south, Big Brothers Big Sisters as well as the Daraja Foundation. Giving back towards such great causes was something I enjoy very much and also feel a personal responsibility as a citizen of Alberta and business owner to give back to our community as much as possible. I recently acquired another reputable business in 2019 this time in the wellness field being Breathe Hot Yoga, as wellness has become a significant part of my daily routine through practicing and teaching yoga learning how to be more mindful with meditation.
During this pandemic, I have witnessed individuals and business owners truly feeling oppressed and left out to just simply go bankrupt due to the Provincial & National government protocols combined with the health minister’s health mandates forcing multiple occasion mandatory closures of hundreds of thousands of businesses throughout Canada. Watching our province deal with our energy distribution crisis and the federal government’s lack of commitment to helping our great Albertans, I watched the pandemic begin catastrophic decimation of already battered Albertans’ dreams. Watching all the entrepreneurs and individuals sit helplessly through this unfair handling of our social and economic well-being was truly unacceptable for me to watch any further. This oppression and helplessness witnessed with minimal government aid inspired me to speed up the timeline on launching a non-profit I was quite passionate about pursuing prior to the pandemic, now brought the leadership required to initiate it right to my doorstep.
We look forward to helping you as fast as we can.
